Restoration Hardware

Restoration Hardware wanted more flexibility in its catalog production schedule. Their team wanted to get an earlier visual run-through of the concept and design for the catalog. Restoration Hardware felt this would allow them to make changes, replace imagery and redesign as needed before a single contract proof was produced. As a result, the first hard copy Restoration Hardware received would be a better representation of their assets and specifications.

Imagine built a password-protected website that provided everything Restoration Hardware wanted, and automatically updated when a page or document was processed. As catalog production began, the Restoration Hardware team was able to view pages and spreads on the site. If their team wanted to make changes, they simply selected the appropriate tools and made the requests. Immediately afterward, an automated email was sent to Imagine with Restoration Hardware's instructions.
This innovation allowed Restoration Hardware more time upfront, making maximum use of scheduling. It saved some of the initial rounds of proofing and shipping, and let their team visually review their assets at an earlier time. It also resulted in the production of a more accurate first-round proof, saving time during the correction phase.
